Ragged Roots & Sound Devices

Something That You DoHoly Man ~ Tear Me Down ~ Addiction

Every summer The SoapBox Project hosts a 4 Day long Independent Music & Arts Festival called Ragged Roots Revival. This festival features over 30 musical acts from around the Midwest of all different styles and genres as well as some amazing performance & visual artists. Ragged Roots started at the tiny La Rue station but quickly outgrew that location. Since then, Ragged Roots has found an amazing home at  Edge O Dells Camping & RV Resort where attendance numbers are exceeding expectations! The festival is becoming one of the best showcases in Wisconsin to find and network with some of the best independent musical acts from the Midwest.

We were honored when locally grown, multimedia powerhouse Sound Devices sent a delegation from their Reedsburg, WI facility comprised of Jesse Parker, Rick Markley, Casey Luft and Aaron Blacker to capture a sampling of The SoapBox Project's performance.

Joining in on production is Award Winning cameraman, editor & owner of Drop Frame Productions, Kurt Wenger as well as audio mixing/ mastering from Luke Jorgenson, also a performer at the festival with his band, The Lower 5th. Here is a sampling of The SoapBox Project's performance at Ragged Roots.

The performance was for the 1st Annual Music Alive! Concert - a benefit to raise money for music and arts programs in the Baraboo community. Also performing was Shawndell Marks, who released her brand new album during the event, as well as Mike Droho & The Compass Rose. Here are some video clips of the show..
